The awards described above are based initially on responses to questionnaires completed by numerous funds-of-hedge funds or funds-of-hedge funds managers, or on the basis of performance information available from various databases. Each awards sponsor organized a judging panel that selected a winner and several finalists, primarily on the basis of annual or year-to-date performance. Additional criteria may include volatility, risk management, track record and quality of service providers. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results.
